Antigua and Barbuda

The island nation of Antigua and Barbuda consists of two major and several smaller islands in the Eastern Carribean sea. Once ruled by the British Empire, the formal head of state is still the Queen of England with a parlimentary democracy as a government. The population has been estimated to be 85,600 with the main economy being tourism - to which we contributed while being on a cruise through the Carribean islands in November 2008. The capital St. John's is on Antigua
